Roberto Carlos’ glittering career may have ended years ago but off the pitch he continues to celebrate.
The legendary Brazilian left back became a father for the ninth time at the weekend following the birth of a baby girl.
Carlos welcomed his new daughter Marina into the world on Sunday via his Instagram account.

Carlos took to Instagram to thank Doctor Vidal and others at Madrid’s Clinic Ruber Hospital
He also posted this picture on Sunday of his daughter Manuela holding her new baby sister
‘I’d like to express my gratitude to Doctor Vidal and all his assistants, he wrote as a caption for the picture.
‘For all the care and attention shown to my family, many thanks from the bottom of my heart.’
Marina born at the Clinic Ruber Hospital in Madrid and is the second child Carlos has with his current wife, Mariana, after daughter Manuela was born in 2009.
In another post, the 44-year-old uploaded a heartwarming picture of Manuela holding Marina in her arms.
According to, Spanish publication AS, Carlos has three kids with his first wife Alejandra named Roberta, Giovanna, and Roberto Carlos Jr – the latter adopted.
He also has four sons – Carlos Eduardo, Christopher, Junior and Luca – all from other relationships.
